Answers must match the syllabus
A general-purpose AI drifts from what students are actually taught. Answers had to come from course material.
Case study · In-house product
A white-label platform for coaching institutes and their students, built and run in-house since July 2025.
Overview
Students ask doubts and take tests in the Android app. Institutes manage branding, students and mock tests in a web portal.
Figures as of July 2026.

The problem
A general-purpose AI drifts from what students are actually taught. Answers had to come from course material.
Science answers need correct formulas and diagrams as well as text.
Each coaching institute wants its own brand, students and content without a separate build.
Mock papers must be reproducible and scored correctly, including negative marking and partial credit.
Students ask questions at any hour, so the app has to stay up and answer quickly.
What we built
Each question is matched against course material before the answer is written, so explanations stay on the syllabus. Answer settings can be tuned for each subject.
When an answer needs a circuit, a cell or a molecule, the app shows a diagram, and equations appear as formatted maths.
Students can photograph a printed question instead of typing it, and have any answer read aloud. The photo is read on the phone and isn't uploaded.
Each institute gets its own logo, colours, students and content from the same app, plus bulk student logins.
Papers are put together the same way every time, weighted towards a batch's weak topics, and scored with negative marking and partial credit. Ranks and percentiles are fixed when the test closes.
Along the way we handled AI-provider usage limits, memory limits on small servers and a Google Play platform requirement, and tightened sign-in and access control.
Built with Flutter (Android app), React (admin portal) and Python (backend), hosted on Azure.
